|
|
Hi I just got my Legionair system this week and filled it for the first time at Bushy's field Phoenix paintball.
I have 2 issues.
1. The fill nipple leaks - straight out the nozzle. I don't know if this is covered under and warranty or not.
2. I ordered a HP tank but bushy seems to think it might be a LP system. When bleeding it there was a lot less pressure than there should be. Now I am not sure if this is due to the leak or not. It still seems a lot lower with the leak plugged up.
Is there some way of telling if it is HP or LP? There are very few markings on it. |

Fill nipple is definately a warrantly item if its out of the box like that.
I'm not sure that you could actually tell the difference between LP or HP from the release.
I'd suggest calling James or Dianne at Macdev and arranging for repair. They will also advise you on the LP / HP issue (i think most are LP). _________________ www.melbourneindoorpaintball.com.au |

Yeah I will give em a call.
Bushy put my and another Macdev bottle side by side and hooked a remote cable to them. The difference is pressure was very noticable.
It could be the leak from the nipple I suppose, I'm not sure if the fill nipple goes through the reg or not or if it goes straight to the bottle.
I'll give em a call though.
Thanks Guys |

I think the fill nipple leak would have to be substantial to affect the output of the bottle, in which case yo uwouldn't have much air left in the tank to test anyway so i doubt it's that.
With the regs, i am 99% sure that if your reg is black, then it's a hi pressure reg, and that the low pressure regs are usually sort of silver/blue-ish.
I'm pretty certain that's how you identify it. I havee a macdev tank and my reg is black because i use it to power my Tipmann A5 as well as my Cyborg & Droid _________________ Regards,

Mine turned out to be some teflon tape that was jammed under the valve.
It is possible it could be missed in testing/hydro I suppose. It could have slipped when I filled it the first time. |
